The wax melt can be removed from the container in it's entirety and placed in a tart warmer to test the hot throw (scent given off during heating) or simply opened to take a whiff of to test the cold throw (scent given off straight out of the packaging before heating) to give you an idea if the scent is something you’d enjoy in a candle.
